normaly i wouldnt care about doing this but i do have a few paid apps from cydia and apps that store data that i do not want to lose
how can i backup these apps?

First.. in Cydia make sure your shsh blob is SAVED.
proof of such is the green text in the image below.

Now... to your question... in Cydia install an app by the name of AptBackup.

Once installed, go into AptBackup, and press "BACKUP". Now Sync with iTunes, so that iTunes makes a backup of your device.

In AptBackup are the simple directions get all your jailbreak apps back once you Jailbreak 4.1

***the jailbreak for 4.1 is not yet released, but should be very soon***

You need the text at the TOP to read "this device has SHSHs for 4.0.1"

Honestly... If I were you.. Just wait a day or two for the jailbreak of 4.1, it's untethered and will be really nice.

Be patient... If possible.
