And just so you know, (I am not condoning this behavior), but a hypothetical iPad owner could hypothetically run a search for UDID on eBay and probably find hypothetical developers that will register your iPad's UDID number for a fee of around $6 (good for 1 year of beta registration). The user could then hypothetically download 4.2 beta and "test" it until the final version release date in November. Hypothetically speaking, of course.

beta fix pdf?

Does anyone know if the Beta fixes the problem that emailing Pages in pdf miscoverts fonts and in many cases turns the pdf into garbage dots?

Nope this would fail.

AppleInsider | Apple's iOS 4.2 SDK requires Mac OS 10.6.5 pre-release build
People familiar with Apple's first iOS 4.2 beta say that it requires the latest Mac OS X 10.6.5 pre-release build, also issued to developers this week.
So unless you also have the latest OS X beta you probably can't upload the the iOS beta to your ipad.
So enjoy spending your $6 for an OS beta you can't use.

Wrong. Not necessary to install, only to airprint. I have been enjoying it all day. Great $6!!!
