I know you're all thinking why does he want to use a MBP as a monitor, but heres the deal. Sometimes my girl friend wants to watch chick flicks when I would rather play my Play Station 3 in another room. I have the adapter to use my tv as a monitor, with my macbook pro. But what i'm asking does anyone know of a way to use my MBP screen as a monitor for my PlayStation 3.???

Does your Macbook Pro have a "video-in" port??? If not...how are you going to use it as an external monitor!

What do you mean video in? Does the mini display port work also as a display in????

My point was...your Macbook Pro DOES NOT have a video-in port...thus it cannot be used as an external monitor! The mini-display port is a video-out port only.

That's the way to go. Either a "TV" or simply an external computer display.
