My macbook ocassionally has a hard time booting up. It may take more than half an hour. I have got this panic log, but I can not figure out what causes startup delay. Configuration of the computer is included in the crash report.

My guess is that you have a hard drive that may be dying. Boot your machine with the original install DVD and do a FSCK. Do that by selecting the top menu, Utilities, Disk Utility, First Aid tab, then select verify and repair the hard drive.

If you get a whole bunch of errors or it refuses to run the verify and repair, then it's likely you need a new hard drive. In any event you need to start backing up your data.
