Hey guys new to this forum, so anyone's help will be greatly appreciated. I'm switching to mac from pc because obviously windows is garbage. Im looking at buying an imac either a refurbished or new. I'm mostly trying to decide between the i3 or core 2 duo. Prices are in Canadian dollars and are about $300.00 dollars difference between the two.

$1,1019
Refurbished iMac 21.5-inch 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
21.5-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display
4GB memory
500GB hard drive
8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics with 256mb memory
Built-in iSight camera

$1.299
New imac 21.5-inch: 3.06GHz Intel Core i3
4GB memory
500GB hard drive
8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
ATI Radeon HD 4670 with 256MB
Built-in iSight camera

Thanks for anyone's help.

Your Mac's Specs
i7 iMac; 8gb DDR3 ram; ati mobility 4850; 1tb seagate harddrive @7200rpm
It usually depends on your usage, but in this case I'd just say get the i3 model. For 200usd more you get a slightly better cpu but a way better gpu.

Thanks a couple other people have told me that as well, that the gpu makes it worth getting the newer one.

Thanks for your help.
