Macbook, Blue Screen, won't load desktop

Forgive me if I post this wrong or if there's another thread like this one already...I'm a bit desperate.

I've gone to Apple's website and have tried all of their solutions (fsck, Safe boot, reset SMC, etc.) but no matter what I do, my computer still stops at the blue screen.

It's cycling right now between a blue screen and a grey-blue screen with a spinning wheel. So it's not completely stuck...but I can't get it to the desktop.

I really have no idea what to do- any suggestions would be great!

Try reinstalling Mac OS from your installation disc and see if that helps. When you do that, no files will be deleted, it'll be more like repairing the OS not reinstalling it.
