Volume button stuck?

About a month ago my iPad started acting up. When I turn it on the volume would keep dropping without me touching the button. It doesn't happen continuously but regularly. That is, if I turn the volume back up, it doesn't necessarily go mute instantly but after a short while. The button looks fine, although I suspect whatever's beneath it is messed up. I sure as **** hope this isn't something I need to send it to Apple to fix.

For a problem like that I would definitely take it to an apple store or send it in... I'm positive they'll take care of it.

Your iPad is still under warranty. If it is broken (and not damaged), they will fix/replace it.
