Hi guys, just a quick qn. I tried searching on the forum but couldnt find anything similar.

i just acquired the ipod nano 5th gen. I was wondering, how does the screen hold up to scratches? Im wondering if there's a need to get a plastic film screen protector. As always, application of such protective screens is a pain in the ***, and would be better if i can avoid it, but yet i still want to be able to see whats on my ipod screen

I have a 4th gen. Have not put a screen protector or case on it. It's been tossed in my pockets, tossed into the carrier in my car while connected to the USB port. The only area with any scratches on it thus far is on the white of the Apple on the back side. The rest of it still looks brand new. ymmv. I don't toss it into pockets with my keys, etc.

I purchased a Griffin plastic cover for my wife's 5th G Nano. From the look of the hard plastic cover (after several months) it has definitely saved the screen from numerous nicks and scratches. My wife is really hard on an iPod of any sort - been thru 3 of them - so your mileage may vary.
