I am just wondering on how I would be able to browse the photos in my iphoto library under iFile... THe reason is that I want to back up each folder individually onto an external HD.

To get to the folder find the iPhoto Library in the Finder, right click on it and choose "Show Package Contents". You can then navigate around a see if you can find the folder with the pictures.

I'd stay away from your iPhoto stuff in the finder. It's really only meant to deal with in the iPhoto interface.

I'm with Fodge on this one. If you're using iPhoto to manage your pics, I'd use iPhoto to export and backup individual pics/folders rather than messing with the database directly.
