So I just updated my laptop with snow leopard and i have the quick time x or whatever and can not play videos on it. i liked the fact i could have multiple windows up with the old quick time but i can not even get this one to work and if i try to install an older version it tells me i have X and wont let me do it, cant figure out how to do it through the program either.

I have VLC right now and its fine but I liked the old quick time. How do i get rid of this new quick time or update it? i can not even find an update section for this quick time x crap! i cannot play any .avi file on it either!

Help please! :\

Quicktime (including previous versions) has always been limited to Apple codecs. If you want to have it play others, you'll need a codec package like Flip4Mac and Perian.
