Garageband disk error message :(

Hello everyone,

I've been recording audio files the size of about 1.3GB daily for 20 nights using Garageband. I recently start to get a DISK ERROR MESSAGE that says, "Disk too slow" and then it stops recording.

Would anyone know what's going on? I have more than enough free memory, about 180GB unused.

Solution anyone? Any MAC whizzkids around please?

Are you recording onto your internal HD and/or do you have time machine backing up while you are recording?

Yes, i'm recording onto my internal HD. Time machine is off at all times. I know, i'm a beginner but i must continue recording live shows for the next 10 days.

Please help if you have a solution.
