You need to restart your computer msg

Hi I changed hard disk in my macbook
Then i used as start up the original Leopard disk and then i restored the harddisk with Time Machine backup ,after i finished i was unable to start up my Mac again and getting the msg "you need to restart...etc etc "message.
I have also Snow Leopard DvD should i have used that DVD for start up before i used the back up i made with Time Machine?

What operating system was on the hard disk that you changed and made the backup from? If it was Snow Leopard, then you should have used the Snow Leopard DVD not Leopard.

yes me dummy was Snow Leopard the back up i made with Time Machine
im redoing it with the Snow Leopard DVD dvd as start up
