Hello,

I have two MacBook Pros and a Iomega 1TB Home Media Network Drive.
I'm able to access the server from both laptops without any problem except; when I create a folder or move a file to it from one computer, I can't access it from the other, it returns that i don't have sufficient privileges to access the folder.

Any suggestions on how deal with this issue? I've been searching for a solution for weeks now.

Create a single user on the NAS that both Macbooks use for authentication. See if that solves the permissions issue.

Hi,

Thanks buddy, your suggestion actually worked, I've created a new user and created a new folder and was able to access from both computers. However I'm still not able to access the folders already created on the server, is there a way to fix the permissions?

Usually NAS devices have the option to re-apply permissions throughout the tree. Look for that in the web interface. There is also an admin user on the NAS I assume. Worst case, authenticate as admin, copy them down and re-auth and copy them back up.
