Hey,

I have a Macbook Pro 13' and I want to transfer files to my PC. My question is, can I use a Firewire cable to transfer the files? My Macbook Pro has a 9-pin and PC has a 6-Pin. So would a 6-pin to 9-pin cable work?

Thanks.

Your Mac's Specs

It should work barring any other incompatibilities such as not being able to write to the PC's NTFS formatted drive from your Mac. (Third party software probably needed)

Take a look at this LINK for 6 to 9 pin FW cables.

I got a 6-to-9 pin firewire cable already and I tried it out but...

1. My Macbook turned off instantly when I connected. I realize that I have to turn off my Macbook and then start it holding T after plugging, but by plugging it without turning off my Macbook... is that bad?

2. My PC does not see the firewire connection.
