Hi, I would like to know the cheapest possible way to connect a BRD player to a 27' iMac. I have the option of HDMI or Component. I am aware that you cannot just use various adapters to attach HDMI to Mini Display. That would have been the cheapest option. I have done some research and there are some HDMI to MD converters, but they can be quite pricey at 100-300 dollars. I was wondering if there is any cheaper way to do this. Thanks for any suggestions.

Nope. The search option here will prove that to you.

Have not researched it in the last two months. I still have only seen one adapter besides the Kanex, but both still at approx $150.

For all those looking for such an adapter, I'd suggest writing/emailing monoprice and make a request. They have been known to put the time into new adapters/cabling with enough requests from Mac users.

That one is for going out from the Mac to a monitor/TV. It will not go in the reverse direction to carry signal from a B-R, Xbox360, etc. to the iMac.

With the introduction of all these various video cables and the technologies behind them, you'll find that a great number of video adapters today are a one way street.
