• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

I was trying to make a music video with the footage I used from my digital camera (they turned to .mov files automatically when i loaded them into my computer). So I put all the clips I wanted in there and I detached all the audio from them and deleted them so the only thing you would hear was the music. I have done this before and it has worked. I played it on iMovie and it worked fine, the only thing you heard was the music. Then when I exported it into a .mov file and posted it on facebook, some of the audio was still playing and what was even stranger is that it wasn't playing with their corresponding clips. I played this on quicktime to see if it was just the facebook upload but it happened there too. What should I do to make sure the audio from the clips DOES NOT play?

Load the clips into imovie and then just mute the clips. You can add music to the clips as desired....
