Greetings!
I'm working on a project in Final cut studio 2, in HD 1440x1080.
The customer wants the final exports as .avi not .mov
But, the avi export options under FCP are limited at best, I want to use the H.264 codec and output at the native frame size.

So, how can I get H264 as a codec option when exporting to avi under quicktime conversion, is it even possible?

Help!

It quite likely isn't possible. According to this Wikipedia entry, AVI supports:

Almost anything through VFW; H.264/AVC is problematic due to the limited B-frame support.

AVI may have been fine for its day, but the world at large has moved on from it. If your customer is dead set on having an AVI, you'll need to use different tools.
