connect i phone to usb mobile internet on macbook pro

Hi iam new to macs and i phone, though i have just bought them both.

I think its possible to connect my iphone to my mac and use the internet connection, but unsure on how?

any help would be great.

It is possible, but you'll need a tethering 'bolt-on' for your phone contract.

The actual connection is made to your phone via wifi.

thanks, or the reply...

i mean so that my iphone can share my macbook connection, use it as a wifi connection so i can make video calls or something,

is this what u mean to?

OK, understand now.

1. You can video call on your MacBook
2. If you have a wireless router you can connect your iPhone wirelessly straight to that - no MacBook intervention required
3. If your MacBook connection is wired to your internet connection you can enable internet sharing and create an adhoc wifi network for your phone to connect to
