upgrading from 10.4.11 to osx snow leopard

i bought the snow leopard pack to upgrade from tiger 10.4.11
i upgraded memory to 2 GB

during the upgrade from tiger to snow leopard i got an alert that more memory is needed to continue. I just upgraded total memory from 1g to 2g the max memory

how do I get around this or do I

Are you *sure* that it didn't say more *space* is needed to continue? Ie that your hard drive is full?

Just to be sure...what are the specs of your computer? If it doesn't have an Intel cpu...you cannot upgrade to Snow Leopard.

About the "more memory to continue" message. Like "chas_m" mentioned...are we talking about "ram memory"...or hard drive space?
