Yes it does -- go into your Mac hard drive, then Applications, then Utilities, then Terminal.
It's bash, not DOS, but a simple ping will work, and use "ifconfig" instead of ipconfig.
The only side effect is that if you don't tell it how many pings to do, it defaults to infinite instead of 4. Use the syntax "ping -c 4 www.domain.com"
You don't need Terminal to do a PING or other network queries. Just open Applications, Utilities, Network Utility.app. You'll find everything you need there. And you do not have to remember BASH commands.
