Can I just swap the Hard drive between 2 Macbook Pro (mid-2009)?

I have two macbook pro and wondering if I can just switch the hard drive between them without doing anything.

have anyone tired this before?

Welcome to M-F! :)

Shouldn't be a problem, I switched HDs from a 2007 MacBook to a 2008 MacBook Pro and I didn't have any problems.
