Hi

I was syncing my Gmail account with Mac Mail which was working fine until i tried deleting an email from my inbox and then erasing it from the trash.

Instead of being gone forever the deleted email is still in the Gmail "All Mail" folder, is there anyway I can control the whole Gmail account just from the mail client?

Cheers for any help on what I'm doing wrong

Hello, Welcome to M-F :)

The problem is that Apple Mail when deleting a mail doesn't move it to the gmail Trash folder, it just removes any labels that tell gmail in which folder it belongs making it still appear in the All Mail folder.

And the whole thing is so complex that I'll let these guys explain it, just look at the Trash parts.
