When posting/replying on some forums/message boards When using Safari I often get a load of gobbledegook such as

see if you can listen <b><u><a href="http://web.me.com/karlwhite66/Standing_In_The_Shadows/Podcast/Podcast.html">>>>>HERE<<<<</a></u></b>

this was supposed to say....

try and listen >>>HERE<<<< with the >>>HERE<<<< in bold and underlined with a link embedded.

Any ideas on how to rectify?

Are you really using the <> symbols?
The ones you should use are the [ and ].

I'm not using any symbols. I've highlighted the text and that is how it is coming out, instead of the highlighted text.

I'd like to help, but I'm having trouble making sense of what you've posted.

It would appear it is a problem with the RTE editor on the forum.

When I type in my text and smileys etc and then post the text comes out with the codes etc

such as

<b><u><a href="http://web.me.com/karlwhite66/Standing_In_The_Shadows/Podcast/Podcast.html">>>>>HERE<<<< </a></u></b>

instead of

try and listen >>>HERE<<<< with the >>>HERE<<<< (in bold and underlined with a link embedded).
It only happens with Safari, no other browsers.

When I disable the RTE Editor it is ok but only basic text, no emoticons etc. When I enable it I get a load of nonsense.
