Hi all. New mac-switcher here. I am using a standard windows keyboard with my mac right now, but I would like to control the sound volume (increase volume, decrease volume, mute) using keyboard shortcuts. Is that possible?

I'd check the manufacturers site of your keyboard and see if they wrote any drivers for OS X.

Hmm...the keyboard is just a standard dell keyboard that ships with their computers. I found theres keyboard combinations to control contrast for instance, just couldn't find any for volume control. Maybe I can manually set a keyboard combination to do this?

If it isn't part of the software that comes with it I don't think you can.

I have a prodikeys midi keyboard pc that has a volume slider that works, but it doesn't have working shortcut buttons, or midi keyboard! So it's swings and roundabouts really.
