The 320Gb startup disk in my '08 Mac Pro is filling up, even with a 1.5Tb data drive for all my media work etc.

What do you guys and gals recommend as an upgrade? Ideally I would like to get a bigger and FASTER drive, image the old drive over using Ghost or Shadow Protect, and plug straight in.

Recently with Mac Pro has started to run a bit slow, and I suspect it is drive speed access rather than RAM/Display problems.

Anyone using SSD for startup?

Help and advice appreciated. :D

These folks are located in the US but they're Mac specialists. They probably have the largest selection of HDDs and SSDs of any on line reseller. Go there and browse around as that will give you some idea of what's available. They do ship outside of the US but it may be less expensive to purchase locally.
