upgrading an Intel Imac G5 (early 2006)

Hi,
I am looking into possibility of upgrading my Airport card - anyone have experience of doing so on this Imac model? It is the one with an access slot in the bottom of the body to upgrade RAM rather than one which has 3 x screws to release the whole of the back of the body - if you get my meaning.
Current card - according to spec - is an airport extreme 54mps 802.11g and I would like - if possible - to move to 802.11n spec.
Any advice appreciated.

There's no such thing as an Intel G5. You probably mean a G5 (PPC).

You can't upgrade the airport card in that model.

It has an Intel Core Duo processor - so I guess it qualifies as an Intel Mac ??

No, sorry, you can't upgrade the internal card:
AirPort Extreme 802.11n* Enabler for Mac - Apple Store (U.S.)

You can, however, DISABLE the internal airport and instead use a USB-based 802.11n adapter as long as its Mac compatible, SUCH AS this one (I have no experience with it, just found it in a random Google search for 802.11n Mac USB adapter):

n300 Mac USB Wireless Adapter

Note that this requires 10.3 or higher.
