15" i5 glossy connected to 20" monitor

Will the 15" i5 low res 1440x900 glossy macbook pro be able to out to 1680 x 1050 20" dell using DVI adapter?

I was able to briefly do this with the antiglare hires screen but they share the same resolutions.

The 15" i5 MBP can output to most external monitors at their native resolution without difficulty. Since you didn't mention which model Dell monitor, we have no idea which inputs it accepts. Guessing, it probably will work fine from a DVI input adapter.
