So I have been experimenting with something.
Our Server is Windows Server 2003. All Mac's log into an Active Directory.
we have an "admin" account that we use to locally administer every computer on campus.
OS X 10.5.8 does something funny. If I do not create a local admin account on the machine and I login to AD with our administrator user name and password, then I log in fine.
However, when I login into AD with a local admin account already on the machine, I have no desktop.
So to get around this, I have created a local admin account called "macadmin" and deleted the local "admin" account which uses the same username and password as we do on windows machines.
I am more or less looking for an explanation on this to better understand why this is getting messed up.
THANKS
