mbp ram question

Will MC644G/A 4GB 1066MHZ DDR3 PC3-8500 work for the (late 2008) macbook pro 2.4 GHz?
Also does that same model have a maximum amount of ram that you can put in it?

so as long as 1066MHZ DDR3 PC3-8500 is in the item description the rest ie. "MC644G/A 4GB" would be the manufacture product code or something along those lines. correct?

You're best off purchasing ram for Macintosh computers from vendors that guarantee that they will work in a Macintosh. Buy ram from a "generic" ram vendor...and 30 seconds after you place your order for the ram...you might as well call up their customer service folks & ask for an RMA# (return merchandise authorization number)...cause in many cases you'll have trouble.
