Recovered Files

Every tiime I shut down my ibook and boot it bak up I always have a folder in my trash can labelled recovered files, and it usually contains pictures/docs I deleted the last time I used the computer....Is this normal and is there anyway I can make it so this does not happen? tanks :mac:

Finder>Secrue Empty Trash
