Using Onyx Mac Cleaner ???

Hi

I'm looking to give my Macbook OSX Leopard 10.5. a good clean, I've downloaded Onyx Mac cleaning program but I'm hesitant as to what tabs to correctly use? wouldn't want to delete anything important. It's my first time with the application, could anyone help?

Read the "Important Information" dialog help screen that shows up after the program is first started. That screen displays right after OnyX checks the SMART status of your hard drive and does a startup volume verify.

Also open and read the extensive help information that's provided with the program.

First up download the OS X.5.8 combo updater from Apple and run that. OS X.5.1 is oh so old! This will correct quite a number of problems, then run Onyx following our moderator's suggestion.
