Help; I need a cheap or free alternative to InDesign for work

I've tried downloading it, and the keys only work for as long as the InDesign doesn't phone home. I've even tried the supposed workaround this (you go into Terminal and change a bunch of things) and InD recognizes it's pirated.

Quark is no cheaper.

I simply can't afford these products right now. I need a cheep way to open and work with indesign, Quark or EPS files.

I'm not doing design work, it's literally a 10-minute thing I have to do once in a while. I'm not going to spend 800 bucks on something I'll be using maybe an hour a month.

Discussion of any kind of illegal activity is off limits in these forums. I would think you know better then to post that you pirated software. Not being able to afford expensive software is not an excuse to pirate. Find a less expensive alternative or do without.
