Font Book simply stopped recognizing new fonts. And I don't have a big library, I've only added 2 fonts in the past.
When I go to library >> Fonts, the fonts I add are there; but they just don't show up in my font book or in any application.
I've tried the steps here, Undoing Font Book — but Mac 10.6 does not seem to have that fb.db file. So no luck there.
I've downloaded the free trial of fontexplorerX, but I don't want to pay 80 bucks just to add a handful of fonts I need for work to Pages.
I have no idea what's going on. FB will process new fonts and just have them sit there in a folder without recognizing them.
