Help.
Two weeks ago I accepted the software update that updated iTunes to 9.2.1 (5).
Now it doesn't work.
On first startup it declared that my itunes library was corrupt and saved the old one with a new name and then tried to reimport all my music.
After spending hours re-importing the album covers I shut my mac down.
on restart itunes gave me the licence acceptance box for the new version of itunes then declared the library it had created itself was corrupt and started the whole performance again.
I uninstalled itunes, downloaded a clean version and imported all my music.
Next time I started itunes i got the same accept licence box followed by the declaration that the second itunes library created by 9.2.2 (5) is corrupt and the necessity to waste hours fixing it with the certainty that next time I try to use it I'll have to go through the same again.
Can I download a previous version that works?
I have never had problems with itunes or any other application before.
Should I try to restore the original version from my time machine?
I didn't expect to have Microsoft performance from my otherwise perfect iMac so help would be appreciated.
thanks
Frank
