Sony DVR

I recently purchased a Sony hand held DVR... then bought a mac powerbook a month later. The problem is the Sony DVDs are minis which won't go into my dvd drive on the mac. I have a USB chord but at current it does not work on the mac. Is there a way to make this compatable or did i waste my money on a video camera that is not going to work?
Thanks

no firewire cords if it is not dv or hdv.... the dvd camcorders do not have firewire cords and only have usb but are not ment to transfer the video over. Some places, I don't know where do sell a big cd with a whole in the middle for those dvds to go in so you can play you dvds in your slot loading drive, I need one of these as well so when you find it please post a link.
