Hi

I have an iphone 3Gs updated to os4 and officially unlocked. I have just changed network provider and have ported my number. Since porting the number, I have had a red dot showing on the voicemail icon within the phone menu. I have no voicemail messages and everything is working fine with the phone.

How can I get rid of this annoy dot. I have restored the phone through itunes, but it is still showing. Don't really want to restore to factory settings if I can help it.

Any ideas?

The red dot (certainly on O2 in the UK) means that you have voicemail held by your carrier that can't (for whatever reason) be delivered to your phone as visual voicemail. Try calling the voicemail number for your carrier and clear any messages held there.
