Ok

So, I just got a new MacBook! Yippee!

But, now I need some files from my old MacBook.

I would like to copy my Mail messages (they are stored locally on my mac now, they are not on the server anymore)

My contacts

Adobe Suite CS4

and some other small applications.

What is the best way to do this? I am especially wondering how to copy the mail messages and contacts.

Thanks!!!!

Hook up a network cable between the two computers and run Migration Assistant from Applications => Utilities. Step through the process and choose what you want to bring over. That's all there is to it (and is the reason why you're asked if you want to transfer data over from another Mac the first time you boot your new machine).
