Hi, i keep getting kernal panic with my 3 week old Macbook Pro, i dont have alot of software installed on it, only adobe design premium and windows messenger for mac. Ive had 3 kernal panics, which has frozen my screen and forced me to shut down and restart manually. Ive got the kernal panic message below, does anyone know what is wrong?

Looks like bad memory or perhaps a module that's not seated properly.

Since the machine is under warranty, don't mess with it. Make an appointment with Apple and let them sort it out. A USB mouse generally will not cause a kernel panic.

Regards.

Another suggestion is to go into Apple System Profiler > About this Mac > More Info > Diagnostics and check Power On Self Test passed muster. This will advise if any memory modules have failed or not seated correctly.

Lots of them (with various different computers). When it comes to kernel panics on laptops...ram is your #1 culprit.

Passing the POST only means that the memory passed the CRC check. Once the system boots and the memory begins to be accessed is when the KP will occur. Like I advised above, take it on in as it's still under warranty. Even if it turns out to be something else, let the geniuses at Apple sort it out for you.

Regards.

Agreed. A KP on a machine that new almost has to be hardware-related. You'll go on a wild goose chase with this one - it could even be a manufacturing fault like a cold solder joint.

1. Yes, you can take it to an Apple Store.

2. No, you've registered your serial number with them, so they know the warranty status.

3. Depends on the nature of the issue, they may just swap you with a brand new one.

4. The problem is usually taken care of.

I would actually recommend scheduling a Genius Bar appointment online at your local store. You can find your local store here:
