battery not charging

my two-month old MacBook Pro has a bit of an issue. This is the second time that I have connected the charger and the light on the charger stays green and the status thing in the top right hand corner says "(Not Charging)"

It first happened when it was a few weeks old and I disconnected the charger a few times and reconnected it and it worked again. Now it's doing it again however has not remedied itself despite disconnecting it a few times.

What can I do?

OK, so I restarted the MacBook Pro, reconnected the power supply and now it's charging. Is this normal?

It's not normal... If an SMC reset doesn't remedy the situation, I would be giving Apple a call, and making an appointment at a genius bar.
