Hello,

I lost a months worth of data from syncing my phone (blackberry) to ical. Phone lost data and I was unaware of that so it deleted the month of July from my ical when it sync'd

I went to restore from time machine and the files restored but the events are still not showing in calendar.

Any help would be great!

Cheers

Deco.

Deco how did you try and restore? did you goto:

Macintosh HD -> users -> <your name> -> library -> calendars

hover over the calendars section and hit restore?

Also after the restore, did you restart ical?

Just a note for future use (once you have sorted the current situation), you can do an archive of your iCal (address book, iTunes, and many other apps as well) simply by going to Edit (I think it is, not at the mac right now), then Export and choose iCal Archive. I made a folder in my documents folder to keep these. Then, if anything goes wrong, you can always import from that archive. I have had troubles in the past with my phone scrambling things, so have started doing an archive before I sync my phone, or any time that I make major changes to iCal, Address Book, etc. Hopes this helps in the future!

Mary it right (kinda. lol) Its File>Export>iCal Archive. (not edit) but yeah, I usually do that before like major OS Updates, iPhone updates etc. (But then again, I also have TM & Apple gave me MobileMe, so it syncs there too... but you cant ever be too safe with things, like contacts, calendars etc)

I restored from Time Machine.

I did end up fixing the issue by rebuilding the calendar cache and the restored items showed up. Nothing else was effected.

My iCal version is 3.0.7

I haven't seen anything on iCal in Software Update that I can remember. Maybe that's not one that Apple gives out updates for or something. ???
