Standard "Click-Sound" of OS 9

I'm desperatly searching for the information how I can (re)activate the Click-Sound on OS 9. I lend an old iBook for an artwork-reseach of OS 9. At the beginning of my work with this iBook every mousetouch/-click on the menuebar brought forth an sound (now this sound has stopped, and I don't know why). I think this sound is called "Whit", or is it the sound "Single Click"?

I need this informations baldly for my first freelance-job in an sofware-agency and would be very gratefull, if anybody was able to give me an contemporary answer.
