Sup Guys,

jus a quick question here:
is there a software tweak which allows you to have a 1920x1200 resolution on a 30" Apple Cinema Display via the Mini DisplayPort to Dvi adapter? I Really dont feel like buying the 100€ adapter atm, i have the 30" in my wall to display minor content, i dont need the full 2560x1600 resolution. I think its really cheeky from apple to not let you choose higher than 1280x800. Probably another way to make money, by making customers buy the dual link DVI adapter.

Does anybody know if there is a program which can get me running it at 1920x1200???
thanks guys

You might give "SwitchResX" a try although it may not work for your Cinema Display.

Regards.

thanks man
dosnt work though, ive found out that apple incorporated all the necessary ports into the mini displayport to dvi adapter to technically drive a dual link screen, however there are no connections in the device for it. :p
Sighhhhhhh, i guess i need to get rid of 100€ now for an adapter the size of a mac mini :D
thanks anyway
