I've now learned my lesson! I have 1,110,471 items in the trash can that can't be deleted. These are because I dragged an occasional Time Machine back up into it when I was learning about the external hard drives. It's also because of some miscellaneous Windows files hanging around in the Trash Can. I've read enough to try Trash It, but, it didn't work with the data in the Trash Can. I've also read about trying the Option key and emptying the Trash Can. I've also read about booting in safe mode and emptying the Trash Can. None of these seem to work for me! I've place the computer in never Sleep mode and never turn off the Hard Discs! I've tried everything I can seem to relate between the old world of MS-DOS and MAC and can't get the Trash Can emptied. Since I'm a neurotic that needs to see an empty Trash Can, can anybody help with my peculiar situation?
Thanks in advance,
Arthur
