• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

I am having a very annoying problem with FCP 7. When i load my video files the application un-render the files. After I render back the files, it un-render them again whenever I do any changes to them. It is becoming quite impossible to edit. I never had those problems with my FC Express.

I have a Mac Pro unit 3.1, Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 6GB memory, 3Ghz processor speed. Over 96Gb free HDrive. 2T fire-wire external drive.

I need your help!!!

Your Mac's Specs
Late 2013 rMBP, i7, 750m gpu, OSX versions 10.9.3, 10.10
Some information about:

1) How are you "loading" your video files?
2) Does your sequence settings match your video files?

would help.

Right now, if I had to guess - I'd say your sequence settings are way different from your files that you've imported, and that difference is causing it to have to re-render any time you make even a simple change on the sequence.
