Hello,

I have a MacBook Pro 2007 with Os Snow Leopard 10.6.4 and bootcamp 3.0.1 and I already tried to install windows 7 (32bits and 64bits) with bootcamp but it didnt worked. Both version of windows ends in a black screen with something written... and I don't know why, but my keyboard don't work in that black screen...

With the 64 bits version, this appear:
1.
2.
Select CD-ROM Boot Type
: (my windows CDs got all versions of windows 7 [home/premium/...], so maybe 1 and 2 is a version of windows... the problems is that my keyboard don't work xD )

With the 32 bits version, this appear:
No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key (The disk isn't running while in that black screen, but in the Mac HD it works... )

I read the bootcamp manual and it says i need an USB keyboard... thats why the mac keyboard don't work?

And before I go after a keyboard, is it really possible to instal windows 7 in my 2007 Mac? I also read something that there are some old Macs that cant run windows 7...

Your 2007 MacBook Pro should be able to run Windows 7 from a Boot Camp partition without an external keyboard. That statement in the manual refers to using a blue tooth keyboard - which you can not during the install.

If you followed the Boot Camp assistant install instructions, created a partition large enough, and used your Windows 7 install DVD to reboot when asked, the install process should work. There's no reason why your MBP keyboard isn't working unless it's defective.

Try the install again. This time print out the Boot Camp assistant install instructions and follow them carefully.

Regards.
