I am trying to boot off of a bootable cd via my external firewire dvd-drive on my Macbook Pro, I hold down C and a little folder comes up with a question mark and it blinks a couple of times, my external dvd-drive starts spinning and the light blinks.. it then gets to the apple logo and sits there, and the drive stops spinning. It always does this. Only way to get past it is by turning off the power. This also is stopping me from being able to do Bootcamp. Whats weird though is I am able to boot off the Snow Leopard install dvd just fine..

Any idea on why this is happening? The drive listed in the little boot menu when I hold down option but it just sits at the apply logo screen. Unless I have the Snow Leopard dvd is in it, it wont boot.
