iPod Nano 4g wont charge, screen black

Hi Guys

My ipod nano 4g was running on a low battery and i plugged it in and the screen went black, now it wont charge or play.

I am travelling abroad and nowhere near any apple stores.

Any ideas on how to fix this.

I have the same problems with my ipod nano 4g. It's brand new actually so I charged it for 3 hours via the laptop. After charging it, the battery still shows that it's empty. But when it's charged in the laptop, it works well. Then I tried charging it via a power outlet. Still doesn't work. I'm thinking of bringing it to the nearest Apple store.
