Can the magnetic field of a 20" CRT monitor hurt a computer or external hard drive? The hard drive is directly under the back part of the monitor and the computer is right up against the side of it. Normally I would move things so they arent so close together but i have no room right now.

think about it like this. Remember the old imacs? and the emacs? those are CTR monitors with computer components inside. Im pretty sure it will be ok.
However the radiation from the CTR monitor is not so good for you ;)

I thought about that but knowing apple they would use special parts that wouldn't get harmed.

Sitting a monitor right next to a tower is pretty standard, I don't think you'll have a problem.

Hey, I have 2 old G3 iMacs and an eMac....hmmm.....maybe that explains the third hand growing out of my left shoulder... :biohazard
