web browser back with mouse buttons

Hello, I am using a mouse that has some side buttons on it. It is the Logitech mx518 Newegg.com - Logitech MX 518 8 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Optical 1800 dpi Gaming Mouse. On pc, default values for those buttons will make your browser go back or forward depending on what button was pushed.

I was wondering as to how I can get my mouse to act the same on mac browser as it does on pc browser.

I did some poking around the Logitch site and found as you did that Logitech's software only supports XP and Vista. I did find a thread where someone suggested a few drivers that work with it (USB Overdrive and Steermouse among others). MX 518 Mac compatibility - Logitech Forums

Glad that helps. That looks like too nice a mouse not to be able to use the buttons. If it were left-handed I would probably buy one in a minute.
