I was wondering if a Quicksilver processor would be plug and play in a graphite AGP power mac g4. Since the bus speeds are different will it work?

The pins are different along with other issues.

How come processor upgrades are compatible with both AGP and Quicksilver macs?

Here is an example from here(Newer Technology MAXPower G4/7448 DUAL 1.8... (MAXG48D1800) at OWC

I have a dual 1.8 ghz upgrade, and I believe it got burned up when my power supply burned up(the fan on my power supply quit working and I didnt notice it). Any suggestion on if it can be fixed(the processor)?

The upgrades usually have jumpers so you can change the system us speed depending on the model it is fitted to. Ask the manufacturer if the CPU upgrade is repairable but I would doubt it.
